Welcome To Leadership Fox Cities!
Applications for the 2010-2011 Leadership Fox Cities Class are now available.
Mayors. Philanthropists. Environmentalists. Advocates for the needy and disabled. Artists and musicians. School children and scholars. These are just some of the individuals that members of last year's Leadership Fox Cities class encountered, learned from, and consulted.
Throughout the year, the participants learned to work in small groups on projects of their own design, which were intended to fill a need in the community. Projects conducted by LFC class members over the history of the program continue to impact the community.
On coming together and bonding with fellow class members:
"I particularly liked the chance to sit with my fellow classmates at smaller tables and get to know them better. Now that we've been together awhile, it's nice to have more meaningful conversations both professionally and getting to know them on a personal level."
On the economic impact of tourism and Appleton as a tourism destination:
" I knew it was a great town, but I did not realize just how much business is done here and how many people travel here."
On the value of touring local businesses:
"You learn so much from the tours. Love that!"
A yearbook which benchmarks the topics and experiences of the class during the year as well as the participants' interest in and experience with community issues is now available. It serves as a resource for local non-profits seeking interested and qualified prospects to serve on boards and committees.
