Welcome To Leadership Fox Cities!
Mayors. Philanthropists. Environmentalists. Advocates for the needy and disabled. Artists and musicians. School children and scholars. These are just some of the individuals that members of last year's Leadership Fox Cities class encountered, learned from, and consulted.
Throughout the year, the participants learned to work in small groups on projects of their own design, which were intended to fill a need in the community. Projects conducted by LFC class members over the history of the program continue to impact the community.
Previous projects have included:
• Fox Valley Sibling Support Network Annual Conference 2009
• Reaching Out to Role Models in Our Community
• Mosquito Hill Nature Center "Reading Tree" and Reference Library
• Sports Re-quipment project with the Boys and Girls Club of the Fox Valley
• Community Clothes Closet - Vintage Fashion Show
• “Room Adoption” Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley
A yearbook which benchmarks the topics and experiences of the class during the year as well as the participants' interest in and experience with community issues is now available. It serves as a resource for local non-profits seeking interested and qualified prospects to serve on boards and committees. To request a copy, contact the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce online at information@foxcitieschamber.com or call 920-734-7101.
