Welcome To Leadership Fox Cities!
Mayors. Philanthropists. Environmentalists. Advocates for the needy and disabled. Artists and musicians. School children and scholars. These are just some of the individuals that members of last year's Leadership Fox Cities class encountered, learned from, and consulted.
Throughout the year, the participants learned to work in small groups on projects of their own design, which were intended to fill a need in the community. Projects conducted by LFC class members over the history of the program continue to impact the community.
Previous projects have included:
• Growing Regional Opportunities: Financial education workshops for high school students
• Voices of Men: A unique educational performance about violence against women.
• Methamphetamine Public Awareness Campaign
• Making Connections: Access to public transportation for ESL residents
• Appleton Area School District Volunteer Tutor Programs
• Making the Ride Happen for 60+, Creating greater independence for those we love
A yearbook which benchmarks the topics and experiences of the class during the year as well as the participants' interest in and experience with community issues is now available. It serves as a resource for local non-profits seeking interested and qualified prospects to serve on boards and committees.
